- (1 cup) flour
- (1/4 c (plus)) water
- (3/4 cup) milk
- (1/4 teaspoon) baking powder
- (1 1/2 teaspoons) salt
- (1/4 teaspoon) paprika (preferably "smoked")
- (1/8 teaspoon) garlic powder
- (1/4 teaspoon) onion powder
- (pinch) cayenne pepper, ground
Mix all ingredients together with a whisk and you're all set to fry fish!
We enjoy frying in beef tallow or coconut oil that's been refined enough to take the coconut flavor out.
